Everybody Draw a Buddha Day

The Buddha’s birthday is coming up soon. It is on the day of the full moon in May. This time around it is on 27th May. So let’s just all draw a Buddha. Since my drawing skills are somewhat primitive, I will go hi-tech. I post this picture — one that I had taken years ago in California. Now if someone would please start a Facebook page for “Everybody Draw a Buddha Day” — just to keep abreast of the competition here.

South Park rocks!!! Long live the Prophet of Brotherhood and Equality!!
I love this. The difference is that neither Buddha nor the Buddhists will be displeased or issue fatwas against you. In general, they are far more mature about this sort of stuff, and would probably have a good chuckle themselves.
No buddhist cares because: “Any action is understood as creating “seeds” in the mind that will sprout into the appropriate result when met with the right conditions.”
Karma in Buddhism
In Buddhism, karma (Pāli kamma) is strictly distinguished from vipāka, meaning “fruit” or “result”. Karma is categorized within the group or groups of cause (Pāli hetu) in the chain of cause and effect, where it comprises the elements of “volitional activities” (Pali sankhara) and “action” (Pali bhava). Any action is understood as creating “seeds” in the mind that will sprout into the appropriate result (Pāli vipaka) when met with the right conditions. Most types of karmas, with good or bad results, will keep one within the wheel of samsāra, while others will liberate one to nirvāna.
