The Flipbook Reader (test)

So much great stuff on the web, so little time. Here’s a handy little reader which I found on in the US Internet Archive. I checked out H L Menken’s “A Little Book in C Major“. See below for an embedded flipbook reader.

The file may take a bit of time to load. So chill a while. Here’s a tip: use the magnify button so that the page fills the frame.

If you flip back to page 1, you will see that the copy of this copy of the book originated in the UC Berkeley library!

There are many gems in that collection but one of my favorites is on page 19: “Democracy is the theory that common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”
