Being a condom is nothing new to Pakistan. It has a long history of being used as a condom. Against USSR, for instance, during the Cold War. So it is hardly a surprise that it is used as such against India. What is mildly surprising is that so many countries don't mind sharing the same plastic. Turns the stomach a little, if you ask me. In fact, I am so taken by this idea of Pakistan being a condom that I think I shall henceforth use the words interchangeably.
