		<description>You say that crudistan has to invest in bonds; that is the only form of investment available. Why cannot it invest in equity markets? A rich country like S. Arabia should be able to take such financial risks. Also, its reserve of foreign exchange increases if it earns more money. Surely, that helps in diverse situations. As a non- economist I do not get the logic of not wanting to sell more.</description>

Lets see speculators say war and terrorism are causing uncertainity over oil deliverables.
And now brilliant analysts claim creating war increases supply ?
And there is also another fundamental question.
How can OPEC increase increase the oil supply in the short run? They cant. 
IF there was an oil shortage refineries worldwide wouldnt be running at near max capacities.
Consider facts like the mean time  it takes to get a new well pumping is 7 years.
