Not sure if this helps, look up firstsolar. They use a different material for solar panels.

More bla bla bleating from business is evil school of thought.

If solar power comes into being
Big solar player(s) will emerge in a Mineral/Set of Minerals.

And then a conversation will be
“You want solar power?, We own the ^X^ mine”

You need something to make the “cell” with.
Presently most cells use Gallium as one component and guess what “Big Miners” sell that.
