It is so true, that rich are so callous.
and some times, acts of terror(like 9/11) does
make them think and i think, america started thinking after 9/11 and they should start thinking more, life is uncertain. why store money for their grand, grand childeren.

money should flow. all these people and policies which acts as huge big dams. lets damn these dams.

A good example of rampant inhumanity would be religion: what other institution persecutes simply because they pretend they have the divine right to?

"Only humans are capable of inhumanity" - so true yet appears to ba a tautology. Tautology = nothing said.

Yes, the poor in India have grown as you say. We have to establish if this is because of or in spite of that actions that impact that situation.

To ascribe a collective motive for the rich and well to do - also begs the question.

I'm struggling with what you state as a matter of fact, that if the rich choose "to bring about the end of poverty ... lead to less favorable outcomes for the rich and powerful".

If there are poor in society, their group will drain resources away from the rich and lead to all the problems we see in the actual world of poverty, malnutrition, etc. etc.

So is it really not in the interest of the rich to eliminate the poor and make them richer?

Or is it that we are talking about not really the "rich and powerful" but the "rich and stupid"?

shud I be happy that being better off than most in India, I have the advantage of a system that is designed to keep the poor-poor and the rich-rich. Or shud I be sad that many Indians will continue to be poor for a long time.
