Well he should then stop doing a lot of things. The electric toothbrush he uses is possibly manufactured in China, the cereal he eats is made from raw material from Russia, India, Brazil or China, the clothes he wears is made somewhere in Asia, or the latin american countries, computer he uses to type is using components from Taiwan, korea, and is assembled in China. The list goes on.

His face in the sand attitude is antique, the reality is tight global integration. Wake up Mr. Laxmi (btw the name sounds Indian, no? :- )

The author John Laxmi also writes, " ...First, we should demand that India must send a meaningful contingent of troops to help the coalition in Iraq and Afghanistan, meaningful in size and commensurate with the global power Indians think India is becoming. "

Firstly, sending a nation's troops on a mission entirely aimed at satisfying one family's ego is a folly the United States has committed. Now why would any other self respecting nation want to repeat a blunder like that?

Secondly, on what basis does supporting this occupation of Iraq become a requirement of proving a nation's claim to becoming a world leader in anything?

These are my two questions for Mr. John Laxmi.
