We can have Scholarship/fellowship/loans for poor students who make it to the IIMs. Even IITs and other higher educational institutions should be privitized along the same lines. (I can see that there will be no takers for JNU. But let it die -- JNU types have done India too much damage). I don't see why India should be spending thousands of crores on these elite insitutions-- which can be easily funded by private sector -- while it is struggling to fund primary education. With privatization of higher education, government can redirect funding to primary education. Win-win sitution for all concerned. My 2 cents:
